The hands are in gold thread but the threads being picked out are in shades of red.

On a frayed double-sided panel of denim, golden hands enact a quiet drama of destruction and restoration. One side shows hands methodically picking each other apart, red threads unraveling like old wounds; the other shows the same hands suturing one another with real needle and thread, stitching care back into the fabric. Reparation explores the tension between harm and healing, the fragile yet deliberate work of mending what has been broken. It asks: are we more skilled at undoing—or at making whole again? The piece becomes a meditation on agency, accountability, and the ongoing labour of repair, both within ourselves and in the world we touch.
